  1. I think one of the favorite memories of my mom was just seeing her everyday preparing dinner for all of us after she worked all day. She was an incredible mom. I lost her to melanoma 10 years ago now. I strive to be like her each day.

One of my favorite memories of my mom is a bitter sweet one.

Shortly after my daughter was born my mom was diagnosed with a rare cancer but she was fortunate enough to have seen the birth of my daughter, and she was so proud.

Towards the end of my mom’s life I took her into my home to care for her full time. My daughter was 2 years old at that time but her Grandma became very special to her. In fact each and every night my mom was with us my daughter would take her by the hand and walk her gently to bed.

Seeing my baby daughter love and care for her Grandma every night of her last days is truly my fondest memory, and even though my daughter was just 2 years old at the time, she still remembers walking Grandma to bed.

It’s a bitter sweet memory that will carry on forever in both of us.

  3. I think my favorite memory of my mom is laughing with her. I don’t remember what we were laughing about but we laughed so hard we both cried. Moments like that I feel very connected to my mom and that is a wonderful feeling.

My favorite memory of my mom: My sister and I were giggling after bedtime and she had told us repeatedly to be quiet. It was one of those you-had-to-be-there moments, but the way she stormed into that room was so funny we *still* kid her about it. She waddled. She did. It was very cute. :-)

My favorite memory of my mom: she would always wait in anticipation with a craft project in hand whenever my friends would come to visit. My friends LOVED to come to my house because there were always great crafts to be had. She would never tell me what she had planned so I would be just as excited as my friends were.

My favorite memory involves exercising with my Mom. That was our time together, when we giggled and played without my brothers. I loved those times, not because I wanted to lose weight but because i had my Mom to myself!

My favorite memories with my mom are often in the car! I didn’t get my license until I was 19 so my mom spent lots of time driving me around to all of my activities. We had so many good conversations!

  9. My favorite memory of my mom has to be the labor and birth of my son. I had developed severe pre-eclampsia with HELLP syndrome and my husband was working several hours away. My sister drove me and my kids to the hospital where my mom met us and made sitter arrangements for my 3 little ones. She stayed by my side the entire time and rode with me in the ambulance was I transferred to another hospital that had a NICU (I was 34 weeks pregnant). She then stayed and was my voice during the rest of time until my husband arrived. She tried to help ease his concerns even though she was just as scared of losing me and the baby. She was truly my hero on that day.

My favorite memory of my mom would have to be the time we spent together when she was a single mom. She worked so hard to be such a wonderful mom & a full-time single parent. It is so great to have her as an inspiration to be a strong woman, and I think of the courage she had often. She is my hero and I enjoyed this mother’s day being able to tell her how her strength encourages me everyday while I am dealing with personal battles. I think of how courageous she was and it makes me realize how fortunate I am.

Thanks Revka for such a wonderful giveaway! ESM LOVES Berries & Cream!
